Efrem Lawrence
President
In December 2007, Efrem Lawrence founded Global Athletic Marketing Agency. He is originally from Suffolk, Virginia and currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. Efrem received his degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with emphasis in Marketing Management and Kinesiology.
GAMA was created to serve the unmet needs of athletes as they transition from the high school and collegiate levels of competition into a professional career. GAMA professionals understand the plight of the young athlete as he or she is faced with numerous life changing decisions as they consider their future in sports. From contract negotiation, sponsorships and sports endorsement contracts to license agreements and financial planning, GAMA has the sports marketing resources to guide young athletes down the proper path. GAMA also properly positions its clients for a future beyond sports to maximize post career earning potential and quality of life.
Efrem’s professional career started with a consulting position at International Creative Licensing where he has conducted market research on behalf of numerous clients seeking product licenses. Additionally, Efrem is currently working with Sterling Promotions based in Las Vegas on an exciting new project to include boxing greats such as Sugar Ray Leonard and Oscar De La Hoya.
Efrem is a collegiate-level athlete himself. Had it not been for a career-ending injury, he was well on his way to a professional career in sports of his own. In 2003-2005, he was a member of Santa Monica College’s basketball program and was named “Student Athlete of the Year” in consecutive seasons. While completing his degree he played for the University of Nevada Las Vegas’s basketball program where they obtained a ring for reaching the “Sweet Sixteen” in the NCAA basketball tournament during the 2006-2007 season.
Efrem also has a passion for helping young people and spends time with youth basketball teaching and coaching children from secondary school to high school through the city of North Las Vegas.
